University management
The rector manages the university’s operational activities with support from the executive group.
Introduction
Master of Music Kaarlo Hildén is the rector of Uniarts Helsinki for a five-year term from 1 December 2020 to 30 November 2025. He was also selected for a second term from 1 December 2025 to 30 November 2029.
The rector is supported by an executive group, which is a strategic and consultative body whose members make decisions within the scope of their authority.
In addition to the rector, the members of the executive group are Vice Rector for Education Tapio Kujala, Vice Rector for Research Ossi Naukkarinen, Academy of Fine Arts Dean Leevi Haapala, Sibelius Academy Dean Kaisa Rönkkö, Theatre Academy Dean Otso Huopaniemi, Finance Director Tiina Laino-Asikainen, HR and Development Director Riikka Mäki-Ontto and Director of Communications and External Relations Eveliina Olsson.
The chair of the executive group is the rector, and Senior Advisor Katja Kiviharju acts as the secretary.
