We provide the highest level of education in fine arts in Finland. The Academy of Fine Arts is part of Uniarts Helsinki.
About us
We offer a highly esteemed programme with four subject areas: sculpture, painting, printmaking and time and space arts. We also offer a master’s programme in curating and writing in contemporary art (know as Praxis) as well as bachelor studies in contemporary art history and theory.
We are pioneers in the field of artistic research. Doctoral studies in fine arts provide students with the skills needed to conduct independent artistic research.
Our teachers are distinguished visual artists and experts in various artistic fields. In our teaching, we highlight students’ personal aspirations and one-to-one guidance.
