Introduction
Rong Yang is a doctoral researcher at the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki, Finland, specializing in later-life music education and sustainability. She holds a Master of Arts degree from Shanghai Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree from Zhejiang Conservatory of Music. Her doctoral research project, “Music Education for Future Generations: Promoting Sustainable Musical Lifecourses within Fast-Aging Societies” (2022–2025), was funded by the Finland Fellows Scholarship of the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture.
