Introduction
Chun Li is a doctoral researcher in the Research Study Programme at the Sibelius Academy Doctoral Programme and Research Centre, and an Erhu performer affiliated with the Chinese Musicians Association since 2015 and the Huqin Professional Committee of China Nationalities Orchestra Society since 2023. She earned her Bachelor of Education from East China Normal University in 2021 and Master of Education from Beijing Normal University in 2024.
She has published peer-reviewed articles in both Chinese and English, focusing on basic music education, gifted music education, and aesthetic education. Her research experience encompasses several key national and municipal projects on K-12 curricula and international comparison (Ministry of Education of the PRC), school curriculum governance modernization (National Social Science Fund of China), youth organization and education (Communist Youth League of China), and educational leadership (Beijing Municipal Education Commission).
Her current research, explores Aesthetic Care in music education professionalism through an action research project in a specialist music program in Finland (2025-present), funded by an EDUFI Fellowship awarded by the Finnish National Agency for Education, the China Scholarship Council, and the University of the Arts Helsinki’s salaried positions for doctoral researchers.
